Steve Hockham - Bluehouse Physiotherapy

Steve Hockham is the founder of Bluehouse Physiotherapy

Steve has an extensive history in elite sports medicine. His background of 27 years in professional football included a variety of roles with various clubs, including Chelsea, Watford, Brentford, Birmingham City, Peterborough United and Stevenage. During his football career he worked with Premier league, WSL and international players. He held several first team roles as well as elite academy positions and was head of medical in the Championship, League One and League Two as well as the WSL. Steve has also worked with athletes from a variety of different sports during a four-year tenure at the Sporting Chance clinic founded by former England and Arsenal captain Tony Adams.

In addition, Steve has worked in the private sector as well as completing several years on the NHS during training, encompassing everything from neuro-musculoskeletal, respiratory, orthopaedics, paediatrics and amputee rehab. He has also appeared as a guest speaker at London South Bank University and the University of Derby.

Steve now uses his extensive experience in treating a wide variety of different conditions, using research and evidence-based practice, as well as a comprehensive modern and holistic approach.

Alongside his private work, he still works part-time in a Premier League Academy and is an Emergency Aid tutor for the Football Association.
